Brand new Xbox One X won't update

Hi All,

Just out of the box this morning for my son's birthday. Connected to the TV and internet no problem, however, the console immediately advises that an update is required (pretty standard in my experience). It then reports a problem with the update. We
have tried many times and the connection is fine. It asks you visit xbox/com/xboxone/update/help, but this sit does not download for some reason (on my PC). It is like the old days when the pictures do not fully download, instead displaying an 'x' . I cannot
therefore select any option as the 'buttons' are not selectable meaning that I can't contact MS support.

The error code on the console/tv is 0x80072F8F 0x00000000 0x00000200

I have googled the above (first part) and followed the tips, rebooting everything including the router several times but no joy. All other devices work fine and we have a 75mps connection.

Any tips really appreciated - even a number for MS UK support?

3.5mm jack not working

I bought a brand new Xbox one X less than a week ago. Not used or refurbished. Brand new. Along with a brand new controller. I also have a brand new 150$ headset that's compatible with the one x. It has a 3.5mm jack. Both controllers won't register that
anything is plugged into the 3.5 mm jack. I mad early sure that the firmware was up to date which they are. I bought the chat adapter which allows them to work, burn i hate it because my chat always echoes and everyone I play with hates it. Any fix for this?

The UK support number is 0800 587 1102.

If they can't help, return it to the retailer for replacement, don't send it off to Microsoft as they won't give you a new console.
