    BRAND NEW XBOX ONE X FREEZING UP


    I bought a brand new Xbox one x less than a week ago. It worked good for about a day, then I couldn't play a game without the console freezing up, and then when I did a reset it took over 5 hours to get it back on. Is there a fix for this?

    Do u have your warranty for the console? Also if you have tried to power cycle and other steps that have been provided you can go here for additional troubleshooting help.

    Even if it works and seems sluggish after you do the updates or troubleshooting i would recommend getting it replaced i just sent my x in for a second repair and wish i just replaced it in the beggining

    Hi there,

    It could be any number of things causing the freezing up, while I would normally provide a number of trouble shooting steps, given that this console is literally brand new within the last week I would advise take it back and exchange it for a new console.
    Honestly for the money you paid there is no reason to not have it working out of the box and the X typically doesn't have issues to speak of.

    please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

    If that doesn't fix the issue then I suggest performing a Factory reset via steps here:
