    Brand new Xbox One update question.


    Just got my Xbox one and it has to do the mandatory system update. Which is fine but i have really slow internet and its the best i can get for my location. So i have two questions: 1. Can i pause this update and resume it later? 2. I had my T.V. off and
    xbox updating this morning but when i went to check on it my xbox turned off. Is that normal? Is it still updating when its turned off?

    There was a problem with update

    Brand new xbox one. Setup was good. Entered langauage, country. Tested wired, wireless connections. Both were good. Got error message: There was problem with update. Tried offline update. After applying update from USB drive, it was time to update again.
    I got same error message: There was a problem with update. Help. I need to get past this initial update to use my Brand New Xbox one

    Update failed

    Console was brand new. There was no error code just a message, update failed, a system update is required to sign in to xbox live, but the update is currently unavailable. If the problem persists, visit www.xbox.com/support.

    Got this message on my old xbox and the brand new one.

    No, it is not possible to pause a system update after you have accepted it, although you could decline at the start and choose to play offline instead.

    Yes, if your Xbox is set to instant on mode, it will continue to download and install updates even if it is off(Standby)

    Does this xbox live issue have anything to do with why I can't download the initial setup updates? I just purchased a brand new xbox one for Christmas and now the thing will not download the updates. The internet connection is good and I have restarted
    several times. I am a new xbox user and this issue is starting to make me question my choice to go with the xbox over the PS4.

    I'm having the same issue with the Xbox branded headset when plugged into the Chatpad. Happened after one of the updates. I can hear fine but no one can hear me.

    It's definitely some sort of issue with the update. I bought brand new controllers, Chatpad and mic to verify same issue with the new ones
