    What Country/State/Province do you live in? Kentucky, United States

    Modem brand & model number: Netgear N300 Gateway

    Router brand & model number: Netgear N300 Gateway

    How many 360 and One consoles are connected to this router?:
    One Xbox 360 that works fine, one new Xbox One that doesn't.

    Wired or wireless (for each console): Xbox 360 - Wireless, Xbox One - Wired

    Things you have tried: I have tried switching between wired and wireless, rebooting my gateway, hard rebooting the Xbox One, signing in on my Xbox 360, removing all other devices from my network so that only the Xbox
    One is connected, double checking my gateway settings, contacted live chat support.


    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes

    Do you have a NAT error? No, NAT is Open

    Any Error Codes you encounter: When trying to add the first account to the console, I get a message saying, "Try again in a while. Sorry, it looks like our service isn't working right." When I try a multiplayer network
    test, I get a message saying, "Can't finish multiplayer tests." The error code is (0x700)

    I received a new Xbox One console yesterday, the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare special edition. Upon start up, it took me 8 hours to even get to the dashboard. The update took multiple attempts due to constant errors saying something went wrong.
    After getting to the dashboard, I am unable to even sign in to an account due to an error saying, Try again in a while. "Sorry, it looks like our service isn't working right. To check Xbox Live service status, go to Xbox One Support | Xbox 360 Support | Xbox Live and Billing Support."


    I have my Xbox One wired directly to my gateway. My current network status according to the network panel, says:

    Wired

    Nat Type: Open

    Service info is unavailable

    When doing a network test, it says, "It's all good. Your console is connected to the internet."


    While testing multiplayer connection, I get an error saying, "Can't finish multiplayer tests." Error code (0x700).

    When I check my detailed network diagnosis, I get the following results:

    Download: 0.00 Mbps

    Upload: 0.30 Mbps

    Packet Loss: 1%

    MTU: 1458

    Latency: 198

    I am not sure if it is something on my end, the service, or something with the console. I have an Xbox 360 that works perfectly fine going through the same network wireless or wired.

    I am in a live chat right now with support but I am not getting anywhere with them. Any help would be appreciated.. I have been a long time Xbox user and I never thought buying and trying to play an Xbox One would be so frustrating.

    When pressing both the Menu and View buttons to bring up the mini guide it just says connect to xbox live.

    whenever i load a game it immediately disconnects me from xbox live.

    whats more, i can't even sign into a profile. i will test my network, it will connect to xbox live, then i will try and sign into my Live profile and it will say "unable to connect to xbox live"

    This is indeed a pretty odd experience with a new out of the box console.

    Unfortunately I think this sounds like a defective console, especially the network adapter, so I think best would be to box it and have it returned to the shop for a replacement.

    Sri I cannot give you a better advice.

  5. Live chat told me to try the offline diagnostic tool, which I just tried. Update went through alright but to no change, it is doing the same thing. I ordered this straight from microsoft. I wish I had just went through a local retailer to get it instead
    cause I would've already went and exchanged it.

    So best would be to get back to the phone support again now and have them trigger an exchange for you.

  7. I'm currently waiting to be connected with someone. I figured after nearly a year on the market most of the bugs would have been worked out. Makes me about want to say forget the One for now and just stick to my 360. They had better get me a replacement
    that actually works fast or I'll say heck with it. It's sad to spend $500 on a system that you can't even sign in to do anything on.

    Doesn't it seem odd though that it would connect to the internet just not the xbox live servers? I would think if it were a bad network adapter then it wouldn't connect at all to the internet.

    Not necessarily as the connection test may use only short pings or icmp protocol to test the connection itself and there is no real data load. As soon as it comes to connect to live there is data load on different protocols and bigger data pakets and they
    may get corrupted by a not correctly working adapter.

    And to answer the other post: I think the Xbox One is a good working product with most bugs already sorted out and also already have a lot of recommended features added lately. But unfortunately there is always the possibility to get faulty hardware as they
    are not producing all components by themselves so there always is a chance to get a faulty device. And I can fully understand your frustration on this. But trust me, as soon as you get your new console working you will not ever go back to the 360 Brand new Xbox One unable to sign in or connect to Xbox Live ;)
