Brand New Xbox One S won't let me add my first account

Is your account working on the PC? If works try this:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

2. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.

3. Press and hold the BIND (controller sync button located on the left side of the console or bottom right if a one S or one X) and the EJECT button and then just press the Xbox button on the console once.

4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

7. To reset your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, use the D-pad and A button on your controller to select Reset this Xbox.

9. When prompted, select Keep games and apps. This option will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand having issues adding an account to the console. We recommend a

soft factory reset. This should make it able to add a profile on the console.

Check your network hardware, it may need a restart to acquire network connection.

Use ethernet cable to do initial setup instead of WiFi.

I have the exact same problem; I purchased a brand new Xbox one S and it doesn't let me to create an account. While choosing "add new" it just makes a blank loading and then it kicks me out without any error notification. My location is in Cyprus, plz
help.

If factory reset and power cycle were already performed and issue still persists, we would like to ask for few details:

• Can you add another account aside the new account and your existing account.
  
• What is your console's current build? Are you part of Xbox Insider?
  
• Please share to us a screenshot or picture of the issue. Kindly conceal your full name, gamertag, and email address.
