Brand new xbox one s not connecting to live service

Brand new Xbox as noted, yesterday( fine now) it would not connect to live service for online connection, while computer and iphones were connecting to the internet just fine.

I'd not expect this of brand new, as my 8 yr old ps3 has never failed to connect shore outages,,, extremely rare in othe words.

Why is this occurring on a new unit, and is this worrisome about future malfunctions?

I tried that', but the person was clueLESS, even though I typed out clearly exactly as I have here, so I gave up, pretending all was fine, not in the mood to handhold reps.

So what is up here?

I'm guessing from the "fine now", you are connected? X Box Live, like the P.S. Network, does go down occasionally with various issues; various locations may have problems, while others do not. Such is life in a always connected society.

I would just monitor your connectivity with the new X Box and see if you have anymore problems before your return period expires. You can also check the status of Live with this link... https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status .

There was a widespread outage yesterday. Depending on when your issue lined up with that you could have been affected. I wouldn't worry about it.

maybe it was just a temporary issue with xbox live. I wouldn't worry about it, it can happen sometimes. When it happens again, check this https://support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status to
see if there are issues.

Thanks for letting us know what is going on and that it is working. With service alerts it can start happening well before or after the service alert is posted this is mostly the reason for the issue. There was a lot of people affected by this. One post
hit 8k views in a matter of minutes.

Yes well that's the thing, I did check that website, and nothing was down, except a specific game, for which doesn't apply here. I wasn't trying to connect to that game.

That's why the reason for this post , it was working, yet mine wasn't a new unit.

Things happen, so I just wanted to run this by someone as it made no sense at all.
