Brand new Xbox One (Original) does not work

I just bought it today, came home and it will not turn on. The power supply LED is a steady orange. I tried different outlets, nothing. I tried another power supply... And again nothing.

Would I be able to exchange this at Best Buy where I purchased it or do I need to schedule a repair?

I absolutely will not accept waiting weeks to use something I already paid for.

Collection 4 problem

Activision solution does not work.

Brand new Xbox 360 here, brand new copy of the game. Purchased and downloaded all 4 DLC packs and the game simply wont start.

 

i get the message "the game couldnt start. try downloading the game again. for more help, visit www.xbox.com/support"

Did you buy your hard drive brand new from a retailer or did you by it used from somewhere like ebay? If the hard drive was not purchased brand new, it's possible it could be a knock off which would not work with original xbox games.

 

In the future please do not use swear words even "***" them out won't be aloud on the forums.

There should be a year warranty with purchase it's best to return it and see if you can get a replacement console.

Firstly can you please plug the power supply directly into a wall outlet and not via any surge protector or extension sockets to see what happens.

If the same thing still happens as you have only just purchased the console I would recommend you go back to them and request they replace it for you.

 

why did you not just return it to where you got it from?

 

To answer your question - yes, you should be able to exchange it at Best Buy. That would be the first and easiest step if gds' solution above does not work.

 

gds, yes... I tried several outlets and even another power supply from the other, identical Xbox One I purchased. I bought 2, the another for my gf... And that one works perfectly.

lol don't u read these forums? and u still want xb1. welcome to fustration central. oh don't forget to save up money for repairs. hard reset every hour for console to work.

 

First off, I don't pay attention to the Xbox One forums, since before Wednesday I didn't have one. So it would have been pointless. Second, they come with a 1 year warranty, and according to that warranty, repairs are free unless I broke it... Third,
it was exchanged hassle free and I now have a fully functioning console. I only ever had a problem with Microsoft employees in terms of solving my issues, which is why I went to Playstation. And let me tell you, the grass is NOT greener on their yard.
