Brand new xbox one noise

I've just updated my console with the October update. I confirms what others have said. The update made my console super silent. The nightmare is over for the majority of us.

Planning on getting a new Xbox.

i have had my Xbox 360 S since the year it came out in 2010. and i am getting brand new games but when i read them on my xbox 360 it makes some very strange noises. one of the noises is the noise when you enter radiation on fallout 3 or new vegas. and also
when i turn my xbox console off it takes 15mins to turn off fully. also when i go into my apps such as youtube or facebook the disc tray makes some strange noises and that when a disc is in the drive. it shouldnt be making that noise when discs are in. the
noise stops when a disc is not in.

so i am currently planning on getting a brand new xbox console prefer a gears of war console. now my main questions is....is there anyway to transfer data from one Xbox S to another Xbox S. or could i use my current hard drive an transfer it to the upcoming
new console?

this is currently my second xbox and i am aware of content licence which i can transfer when i go on my new console.

 

xbox one brand new fan noise problem

I've bought today a brand new xbox one et i'm getting a noise inside the fan (like something is touching it).

I've seen a precedent topic had been closed ;

mine looks like that :

it is really dissapointing that on it's first day it's already having this type of problems.

I 've contacted MS and they can not send me a new one, they can't have my Credit card number right ... don't know why it's not working.

I have the feeling that I've just loose 400 $, i'll probably get it back next week see if I can get a refund.

If you have any solution please tell me.

Update not fixed buzzing opening/close or clear cache of xbox one... Stilo here again..

Just added a newer issue... The bluray disc drive now spinning forever!

Well perpax, I guess you need to set up an exchange then.

Set up Exchange For a refurbished!? I open the window and launch this pseudo console out.

 

I'm well aware, perpax. I was one of those persons. But the situation is different now. The update is out, and as you can tell from other people's posts, the coil noise seems to be fixed for most of them.

I'm quite sorry to hear the update does not fix it for you.

So you basically have three options:

• Set up a repair or an exchange with your retailer (if you want a brand-new console, this should be the preferred method)
  
• Set up a repair with Microsoft
• Set up an Advanced Exchange with Microsoft, but this means you'll get a refurbished console
  

I don't know which option works best for you, you have to make that decision yourself. But throwing your console out of the window is very unlikely to solve your problem and on top of that, it's very dangerous, too.

 

If I remember correctly, you are located in Greece, which means you can rely on decent consumer portection laws. Basically this applies to any EU country.

Anyone have buzzing noise at the open close and reset cache after update!? Its normal!?

what do you mean at open close? Do you mean when comsole is starting or closing? Yes, than I still can hear the noise there, but only shortly. In Dashboard I can hear only (sometines) the Hard Disk. but it´s a big difference right now. Reset cache I still
have to try.

Same with mine. I can here the noise when I open or close the console. I also here a quiter noise like HD access ( not always) when in dashboard.

 

Ok thanks a friend says the update fix the power on/off/clear cache noise on console..!!

That means that i should get it back to the retailer and get the 4th console...?????

 

Just wanted to confirm, that the last update fixes the coil whine issue with my console as well! In the end all is good, but i have nevertheless some mixed thoughts about this incident. MS ought to communicate such issues in a better way in the future. Any
changelog available? Is this being listed as something they have fixed, or is there no mention of it at all? Hoping that this will not return in any future update.

 

got my third console last night, BEFORE the update - Fired it up and the good news is that against all odds the coil whine is minimal (more like a ticking clock than a plague of locusts!) - I can live with that, however, I have now inherited a noisy
power pack (it makes an annoying buzzing noise,) the other problem is that the fan is a lot louder than on the previous consoles - it also makes what can only be described as a chirping noise - again it's not too bad, but put together with the power pack it's
constantly there in the background. I ran the xbox next to the PS3 and they're running at about the same noise level (albeit that the PS is absolutely silent when navigating the menus) , but the xbox is definitely more erratic with odd
occasional noises and broken clicks and the constant chirping. It's also louder when a disk is in the console whether I'm playing a game or not, which is annoying when in the menu's with no game sound to drown it out. Probably it's not too bad, all in all,
but when you hear people saying there's is 'silent' I really feel cheated - I've paid the same money, is it too much to expect a level of consistency?! will install the new update tonight but can't imagine it's gonna make much difference now.
