Brand new xbox one just out of Box the initial update taking so long

How are you connecting your Xbox to your network?

It will run alot quicker by using a physical cable.

i literally just got this one to replace one that was overheating and shutting down, i plugged it in and can't do the initial setup gets to the update field and wont work.

So i should take this back to see if another one might update and work out of the box?

1, Turn on your console.

2, Make sure no profiles are signed in.

3, Press the xbox guide button (Circular button in the centre of the pad).

4, Select create an account.

Then follow the on screen prompts.

Alternatively you have made this account you are posting with so you can do the following.

Follow steps 1-3.

Instead of selecting create account select download profile.

Enter the wlid and password for the account you are posting with when prompted.

Once the DL complete you will have access to this profile on your console.

I would suggest using option 1 as if you create the account on your console you will be asked if you want a 1 month free trial of Gold upon creation.

try using a flash drive if you have one

Just bought an xbox one took it out of the box set it up put in ryse an get this *** error seriouslyz brand new game brand new xbox this shouldn't happen.
