Brand new Xbox One heavily scratched.

I just bought a brand new Xbox One for my little brother from my local store and upon unboxing it we were shocked.

The console itself is covered in scratches and the power supply is even worse!!! This looks like a hand-me-down console, not a €399 brand new high-end product.

I hope this is not the standard Microsoft upholds, because this is just utterly disappointing. My little brother saved months to be able to buy this thing.

We expect to be compensated for this grave disappointment. The fact that one cannot even directly send an e-mail to Microsoft to complain is also a sad state of affairs.

I would send you a picture of the scratches, but this tool doesn't let me upload my pictures, keeps getting errors.

My Xbox One came in scratched and sometimes has a weird sound and some other problems!

Call them and ask for a replacement. Mine came heavily scratched as well as a bunch of dings. They are sending me an advance replacement in the form of a BRAND NEW DAY ONE bundle.

'Fizzing' Sound Coming From Back Of Console

I got another one back, they promise me a new one, it certainly was not. Heavily scratched. They now say they will exchange it for another "new one", you can imagine my unhappyness. Console number 3. Also, they stopped replying.

I really can understand your disappointment when unboxing your brand new console.

But this should be a clear issue to be solved by the retailer you got the One from. So box it, take it and return it to the shop you purchased it and have it replaced directly there.

I'd take it back for a refund and buy one from a different store. No reason a brand new item should be scratched, unless it's previously been opened.

Perhaps he isn't buying brand new. Possibly a GameStop refurbished/used? I've never had a new console scratched out of the box, though the original X Box One (Glossy) seemed to get fine scratches with the gentlest of cleaning.

I bought a game that was supposed to be brand new and the disc had scratches on it so i took it back. If your paying more for a brand new game then you dont expect it to be scratched.
