Brand new xbox one, games won't start

    Brand new xbox one, games won't start


    Got the new console for xmas and with all of the recent hacks it is hard for me to tell if the console isnt working because of that or if its broken. In any event, i insert a game, it comes on the screen, never goes anywhere and says "game is taking to
    long to start. 0x8027025a.

    Any help is appreciated

    Ryse: Son of Rome Installation problems

    Just put in my brand new game into my brand new xbox one and...

    it won't install.

    I looked it up and xbox.com says to go offline if installation was stuck at 0%, which it was. I went offline and now it just says in queue. The installation won't even start.

    I put in bf4 and its at 50% now in offline mode.

    any help?

    Xbox One won't read any discs

    Brand new xbox one won't read any discs, games or dvdd, has no error message, just keeps saying insert disc

    I would think your console is ok. Loads of people including myself are having issues. I cant play online even though I'm online.

    Your console is fine. I'm having this problem too with Dragon Age Inquisition. There is a service notice that indicates a small problem with games not loading right. What I did to make my games work though is quit them through the menu option and restart
    it. Seriously don't know why some people are saying there is no problem when that's obviously not true. Just give it some more time and I'm sure Microsoft will fix this issue.

    i cant play sherlock holmes keep loading and loading i cant play it even fifa 14 i want to update it giving me arrow down icon indicating loading or updating wont play until they fix this

    try a hard restart.. hold down power button till console turns off... unplug wait 30 seconds (until light on PSU goes out) plug back in and restart...

    and in the future... that will clear up 90% of the issues with the X1... we have to remember, the X1 are closers to PCs than previous console generations and we need to start treating them as such

    ^ no we shouldn't and if we have to then manufacturers and or systems are rubbish. Consoles should be simple and hassle free and we should not go down the road of it being a techie mystery to work one.

    OK genchy.. what ever... go install massive amount of things to your PC and see if it does not ask you to restart it?? in fact.. leave your console on for 6 straight months while you game on it every day.. then come back to us and say a restart didnt
    help... these are PCs.. get used to itl

    I don't have a PC at home I spend a fair amount of time on one at work. I do have a tablet at home and it does its job perfectly and with no hassle. Should be the same for a home console.

    Netflix does a hard shut down of the Xbox One EVERY TIME

    Checked that as well and there's no issue there they said. They offered to replace the console but who's to say it won't happen on that one either. My console was brand new when i got it a month before this started to happen

    Having problems with lots of newer games on older 360

    Similar issue. Xbox 360 S 250gb, plays large collection of discs no problem. Brand new AC4, and Rocksmith 2014 won't load (unable to read). New AC3 plays fine. No used games, these are all brand new.

    I performed the steps that you outlined. I held the power button for 8 seconds, until it powered off. I then unplgged the xbox for 5 minutes. Plugged the xbox back in and powered on. I am still stuck at the sea of thieves opening graphic.
