    Brand new Xbox one game pass redeem code not working


    just purchased a new Xbox one tonight Tried to redeem the Xbox game pass code and it stating that the code has already been redeemed. Had issues at first with the Xbox live codes but eventually got them to work. Noticed there may be issues right now with
    Xbox redeem codes but only noticed it was for the live gold not for game pass. How do I fix this issue tried to contact Xbox via phone no help

    What error message are you getting?

    Also did you buy the game brand new or pre-owned?

    Brand new Xbox one game pass redeem code not working

    Hi there,

    the redeeming issue currently present is for all code redeeming as far as I know (Xbox Live Service Status | Xbox Live Service Outage),

    but to be sure please double check
    http://account.microsoft.com/services     to see if the subscription is showing there.

    If the subscription shows, try the following steps

    1. Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later)
    2. Perform the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:
      Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console
    3. Redownload your profile

    If these steps fail or the subscription isn't showing, then its best to contact Xbox Support (via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) at

    You said you already contacted them via Phone, but I suggest to contact again via Phone or Chat.

    I had similar issue saying that the redeem codes 'had already expired', and trying to find a contact number or live chat for Xbox support is a nightmare

    Hello, I'm having the same issue as Nino, but I've bought my Discord nitro myself.
    I get the same error message: "check the instructions that came with your code, you might need to redeem it on a different web page or device, or you may be ineligible to redeem this code", I've never had an Xbox game pass before, but even after creating a brand new account to test if it would work I still got the same error message.

    I read through Discord FAQ about the Xbox game pass and I should be eligible to redeem the code.

    Hi, I believe all the DLC comes in the form of a redeemable code. The previous owner no doubt used that code already. Your options would be to either purchase all the DLC or if there's a season pass for the game that might be a cheaper option, or purchase
    the game of the year edition brand new.
