Brand new Xbox one can't do update

    Brand new Xbox one can't do update


    connection fine even went to wired. Showed it downloaded 100% restarted and nothing. Saying problem with update. Followed all directions of turning off unplugging to come to same problem. Very disappointed 5 year old wanting to play infinity 2.0

    Xbox Live down!

    Does this xbox live issue have anything to do with why I can't download the initial setup updates? I just purchased a brand new xbox one for Christmas and now the thing will not download the updates. The internet connection is good and I have restarted
    several times. I am a new xbox user and this issue is starting to make me question my choice to go with the xbox over the PS4.

    Update failed

    Console was brand new. There was no error code just a message, update failed, a system update is required to sign in to xbox live, but the update is currently unavailable. If the problem persists, visit www.xbox.com/support.

    Got this message on my old xbox and the brand new one.

    Well I'm glad I'm not the only one! I bought a brand new Xbox One today but I can't get past the initial system update. Is it possible that this has something to do with Xbox Live being down? I hope so because I would hate to go through all the hassle of
    bringing this back to the shop that I purchased it from.

    And deleting this and doing that isn't gonna do anygood! My Xbox is BRAND new with nothing on it for one and 2 if it says they can't be downloaded at the moment obviously it's lives problem not mine! If I can't get it to download by today I'm going back
