    I have a new xbox one s purchased mostly as a 4K player for my new 4K TV. It is connected directly to the TV with the supplied HDMI. The voices/audio are not synced with the video when playing live TV or playing a bluray disc. Changing settings in the
    xbox and the tv don't seem to help. There isn't an audio sync problem when playing blurays through my ps3 or ps4 and this is quite distressing. Does anyone know how to fix this or do I have a defective unit?

    TvTuner lip sync issue

    When I play video from an online provider or a DVD/bluray audio is perfectly insync, but when using the TV tuner audio is delayed significantly. Is there abutting I can do?

    To start out, which make and model of TV are you using? Also, can you share what your Audio and Video settings are set to on your Xbox One so that we can make sure they're set properly?

    Garbled/corrupt Blu-Ray Playback?

    I can tell you this much, I have experienced audio and video issue with my XBONE from the day I got it. The DVD audio sync becomes an issue at times and the DVD video playback is weird. Sometimes there are these flashes of other scenes or something. The
    audio seems to stay in sync "most" of the time, but there is definitely a sync issue. Bluray video is ok, but I always feel like it should look "better". I have a 60" Sharp Aquos. It's an excellent TV, but I just feel like the blurry video should look better
    than it does.

    I've dealt with this issue for about a month and today I took the XBONE back to the Microsoft kiosk where I got it and exchanged it for a new one.

    So far we have viewed 3 episodes of Six Feet Under off of the brand new box set and the audio seems to be better, and the video issue isn't as bad but it still happens from time to time.

    Overall, I am totally disappointed in the system. It just seems to me that of all issues the Console should/could have, video playback on DVD or BLURAY should be about the easiest thing for it to do because it has a damn optical drive in it.

    I also don't understand the need for an "app" to run Bluray playback.

    The whole thing just sort of smacks of a piece of equipment that wasn't really ready to launch.

    But, hey I am willing to wait it out a little bit to see if microsoft will acknowledge it and fix it...just a little disappointing.

    I am also having this problem just with a nice LG 4k tv with a pioneer vsx 80 receiver. I can watch 4k media no problem threw HDMI I get video and audio and when I go to watch a normal bluray movie I get no video and I get all the audio. I have to take
    the bluray out and restart my xbox to get the video to come back on.

    Lip Sync Issues when playing blu-ray on Xbox One.

    I've read that it is a problem with some bluray discs, and not always with the console or AVR. For example, when my son watches Monsters University on the PS3, the audio and video is out of sync. To get it right, I switch the audio on the PS3 to just dolby
    digital and not DTS. Once that is done, it works fine. I haven't tried this on my xbox one, but might soon. I found this out by searching Monsters University audio sync and found the problem wasn't with the console. I hope this helps.
