    Brand new elite controller sticky left hair trigger


    title says it all...... i have a brand new Xbox one elite controller and the left trigger Is extremely sticky when in hair lock. Almost unbearable..... really shouldn't be happening on a 150$ controller. will this go away after time or will I have to wait
    more time for a controller I already payed and waited for?

    Sorry to hear the trouble. Please make sure not to bump older threads, as this thread is from last year. We don't reocmmend opening your controller as it voids the warranty. If you recently purchased it I recommend reaching out to the retailer for an exchange
    if you haven't already.

    Sorry to hear about the controller trouble SirNickselot.

    If your store is unable to offer a replacement currently it sounds like your best option is to set up a Repair/Replacement over on our Online Service Center. You'll need to register your Xbox One there, after that you can select an accessory to replace.
    Definitely want you to have a completely functioning controller ASAP.

    Brand new elite controller sticky left hair trigger

    I have been having sticky problems with my regular wireless Xbox One controller.

    To think that this would happen to the Elite controller is really disappointing. And customer service haven't been the greatest either.

    Having this issue as well with my right trigger. Xbox support wants ME to pay for shipping it back, when it is a brand new controller that should be under warranty. It came out of the box this way! So messed up that they won't take responsibility for their
    crappy QC. I've bought every Xbox console on Day 1 and it really sucks to feel treated this way. People buying this $150 are hardcore fans and should be treated as valued customers!

    I just got an Elite console a couple weeks ago and have the EXACT same issue with my controller. When the left hair trigger is engaged, it feels like the trigger stop is covered in adhesive when pushing down the trigger. Maddening. I'm hoping that after
    many hours of use the trigger frees up. I did see a couple Youtube videos showing how to free up the trigger by removing the back cover on the afflicted side and using a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover to clean away the sticky stuff. I don't
    really want to do this as I'm scared of scratching the trigger or breaking the plastic cover when taking it apart. Not cool for a $150 controller.
