Brand new Elite Controller malfunction

Thanks for the expedient reply's and direction.

Turns out the retailer carries a 30 day warranty on this product.

In store diagnostics confirmed the issue. I was out of the store in minutes with another new elite controller.

Since you just bought it, I would exchange it with the retailer before setting up a replacement with Microsoft. It's usually quicker.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums in regards to this. I apologize that the controller didn't work properly as it should. In this case I believe you should be able to exchange it in store but, it does depend where you purchased it if they have a certain
time limit to exchange in store.

If anything the other option would be to do a repair/exchange through Microsoft as your controller should be in warranty for it. For this sign in at

Device Support and then select Register new device.

After you've registered, you'll see the warranty status for your device.

You can check with support to see if you can have it send for a service/repair.

Seeing as it is an out of box issue.
