Brand New Disks Won't Work Consistently - POST HERE - A Very Strange Christmas Occurrence

Two of my Christmas gifts this year were Fallout 4 and Halo 5. These games, purchased through UK Amazon by family members, are the first new disks I've tried using in my Xbox One in almost a full year. I certainly haven't tried using any new games on disk
in the last 6 months. This is important because my Xbox One is behaving in an extremely odd and temperamental way towards these new disks. When inserted, the Xbox thinks for a while and occasionally gives me the error code: 0x80820002.

It's acting as if the disks aren't the correct format.

Except when it does work, which I've managed to accomplish once for both games. I got a good hour of Fallout 4 played, and Halo 5 is currently downloading a monstrous update. You understand now what I mean by temperamental. Fallout 4, after being removed
following the one time I got it working, subsequently refused to work again. I have no doubt the same will happen to Halo 5. The oddest bit is that all my other Xbox One disks work just fine. I just checked all of them, most of which are region 2 and have
been working reliably in my region 1 Xbox One for years. And Halo 5 only worked immediately
after the last of the games I already possessed.

This is not a disk drive problem; all my old disks play without issue. This is not a case of me having done something stupid; there are no large/powerful magnets in my house, nor should there be any between the disk manufacturing plant, the Amazon warehouses,
and my home. My leading theory is that something in the disk manufacturing process has changed in the last 6 to 8 months (the time frame during which I haven't bought any new disks
and Fallout 4 and Halo 5 were likely manufactured) which renders new disks fundamentally different from old disks in some way that affects the Xbox One's ability to recognize them as being in the correct format on a consistent basis.
Either that, or I'm just a very unlucky individual who received copies of two separate games, possibly from separate suppliers (the text on my Fallout 4 disk case is in German while the disk itself only has text in English), that just both happened to be defective
    in exactly the same way.

If you're experiencing something similar, then reply here and help this post grow. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is not an isolated incident. If something is wrong we all deserve answers. I certainly think that I do, at the very least.

    :)

Wow, I just had this same issue with my Xbox one. It won't read a disk anymore. Keeps telling me to put in a disk that works. Every game disk and DVD I try gets nothing but load buzzing. Right now I'm not very happy to have gone with Microsoft on day one...a

I haven't tested new Blu-rays, but I just received Ant-Man at a late holiday gathering, so I'll be testing that out. Halo 5 continues to work (the Xbox is at least reading the CD key as my proof of purchase), but I have yet to remove it. My problem is not
solved. The problem is isolated to new disks that, I assume, were manufactured in the last 6 months. Microsoft, respond!

Starr wars be, fallout 4 and black ops3, are all failing for me. "Do you own this game or app?" Then after hard restart Xbox says eject disc, then try again. 3 very new games, very few hours and none work. Older games like Destiny and PVZ are still good
    to go. Any ideas?

Brand New Disks Won't Work Consistently - POST HERE - A Very Strange Christmas Occurrence

Checking back in on this thread.

Update: Two days ago, I made the risky move of swapping my Halo 5 disk for Fallout 4. I am pleased to report that the Xbox played the new disk without incident. I am not relieved by this development because I still don't know why it was having trouble working
    in the first place.

For more info: When was your Xbox One manufactured, if you know?

Mine is a Day One Edition manufactured in 2013, so I know mine is one of the earliest (fitting my 'age of Xbox VS age of disk = temperamental compatibility problem' theory).
