Brand New Digital Xbox Gift Card Codes “Already Redeemed”

I used a $40 gift card for GameStop to purchase two $20 Xbox Gift Card Digital Codes in the same order, and merely minutes upon getting the confirmation email with the codes in them, I go to enter them on the console to add to my account but I continuously get the error message saying that both codes have already been redeemed. I had bought them literally minutes before, and I had never entered them before the first time I did which gave me that error message. I even created a new account with GameStop with my Microsoft account’s email address so there was no mix-up. GameStop has a digital-no return policy, and Microsoft support has been unhelpful thus far since I cannot get into contact with an actual person for the time being. What should I do, since I just lost $40 down the drain?

To clarify, are you trying to redeem a code for a Game Pass subscription or a gift card? Where did you purchase it? Please confirm the exact retailer and whether it’s an online code or physical card.

The specific error you receive (‘not eligible, try redeeming on another site’) indicates that you either can’t apply it to your account (like if it’s only for new subscribers and you’ve had a subscription before) or you’re redeeming it in the incorrect place. Try entering it again at https://microsoft.com/redeem

Hello Tom, when you say you've already tried to redeem your Gift Card online does it mean you tried through the Xbox website and couldn't?

If so, have you tried using other internet browsers?
