    Brand new console won't read games


    Bought a brand new Xbox one from gamestop on 5-18 @1 PM CT. Did the update and getting the same service code as other people. Unfort I am in the middle of.moving and will not have internet access for a couple weeks. With this being said, I will have no idea
    when the problem is resolved. I have spoken to MS on the phone multiple times, and it seems as if they have no idea what is wrong. Just keep going in circles with them, one excuse after another. Same thing here on the forums, when somebody ask a question about
    the situation, an admin interjects tells them they are working on it and they will be emailed.

    It seems like this is an issue where they've no idea what it is, and when it will be fixed. If I get resolution today, I will be trading in this faulty equipment for a PS4.

    Any actuall advice abd knowledge of the situation would be appreciated.

    Sorry to hear about the disc problems, it may be defective and needs to be replaced, but try the steps on this guide

    Just bought Tekken 7 brand new and it won't read in my Xbox one s. I have tried everything don't know what else to do.

    I can understand that you are annoyed on that problem but there will be not other way than have your unit repaired / replaced.

    Pse go to http://myservice.xbox.com and initiate a service order there.

    The latest August 2014 update has caused Xbox One not to read game discs. Microsoft needs to release an update to fix this.

    Modern Warfare 3 unredeable.

    I have the same issue with 3 brand new 360s consoles and multiple hours with tech support. and still won't read.

    Exact same problem here! Bought a brand new console yesterday and it won't read game discs!! It reads blu rays and CDs but just not XB1 game discs! The least we deserve is an ETA!! We didn't buy an expensive paperweight!!

    Having problems with lots of newer games on older 360

    Similar issue. Xbox 360 S 250gb, plays large collection of discs no problem. Brand new AC4, and Rocksmith 2014 won't load (unable to read). New AC3 plays fine. No used games, these are all brand new.
