Brand new console, random noises

I got myself a Kinectless xbox one today and it started off fine. But as soon as I did the mandatory update upon being asked to do so the Xbox started making strange clicking/grinding noises. I finished setting it up with my profile and what not, but the
noise has continued and is quite loud. I have not got any games currently (waiting for Destiny) so I do not know if it will even run a game yet.

The console as been turned off now for an hour and it is yet to stop making these noises. The are not as loud now that it is turned off, but as soon as I turn it on they get much worse. I brought it today, brand new.

Xbox One "Cricket Noise" when playing games

Me too, brand new console, not the fan; the noise starts and stops with gameplay

 

Wierd noises.

Ok so i bought the new halo 4 console about 2 weeks ago and everything was fine when i first started using it.but now the console sometimes makes wierd noises when im playing games. I know that the halo 4 console make sounds but this sound isnt a halo
sound. When im playing games or even at the dashboard it tends to make a wierd noise. It sounds like a weird rattling or shaking coming from inside the console. Now i know these types of consoles are suppost to be wisper quiet so its irritating to hear a bad
from a brand new xbox thats suppost to be silent. I did install my games and its on a flat wooden shelf. I lay the console sideways and when i put my hand flat on the xbox while the noise is going the noise stops. The noise itself isnt that loud and it happens
at random for random amounts of times. Anybody got any ideas on what the sound may be?

 

That is definitely odd. I would recommend removing your information from the hard drive and returning the console to the store for a replacement.

As for games, don't forget that because you have a Gold Membership you can download the two free games for the Xbox One this month.

Seems like a lot of people have this problem. My friend has had his xbox for a while now and he has always had this problem. Everything still works. Other than his ears.

It seems to only be the kinectless version. As if Microsoft did this on purpose. Want an xbox without kinect? Sure. But it will scream at you until you buy a kinect.

 

Same problem brought it back to the store and got a new one... Guess what? I got the same problem.
