I reported a guy just recently for harassment but nothing was done for it so I was wondering if making fun of my family for being deceased was a violation of conduct

This is incorrect, I reported a player last week for profanity and xbox told me that my report that I filed against a player didn't break community guidelines

As far as I'm aware they won't tell you if the person you report has received a suspension though. As this could cause messages to be sent from the person who filed the report. This is what I meant by being informed that action had been taken.

Generally if it's just one person you reported xbox will message you and say "Thanks for making Xbox safer, we took action on one or more of the reports you filed"

Actually pretty rare to get that sort of message. Most of the time you won't.

Hi,

Any offensive message would be a breach of the ToS. How it gets dealt with depends on the context of the message. If it contains profanity, the automatic filters will spot it and issue a ban. If the message/s don't contain profanity then it may take days or possibly weeks for action to be taken as a real person will need to review it.

Be aware, that you will not be informed if action is taken.
