Boy's Account Deleted

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with a console you just received back from a repair.

Its important to note, that as long as the console was connected to the internet the last time he played any of his games, his save data should be stored in the

cloud storage. The next time you launch your game and you are connected to the internet, as long as you are signed into the correct account, your save data will sync automatically.

That being said, its important that you recover that account, as all purchases titles applied a digital license to your account, and you will be unable to recover any content on it, with out it.

At this point, its important that you
recover your account first, so that you can add it to your console once more. This account is also most likely associated with the email you first added to your console.

You can verify that your account is the one that you were using, by visiting your

Order history.

You save data is saved, however, saved data is only saved on the console momentarily, and until you connect to the internet. At that point the save data is sync, and overwritten on the console. However, using a factory reset on the console would delete any
and all data stored locally. Keep in mind that being connected to Xbox Live [the internet service of the console] doesn't necessarily mean that you are playing games online with others. It merely means you have access to the Store to download apps, or purchase
games.

Are you familiar with the Gamertag that your son used when he was playing games? If he does, I would recommend that you

contact Xbox customer support, and speak with a representivie, as they may be able to assist you in attempting to identify what the email associated with the Microsoft account is.

I appreciate your response but it hasn't helped. Online, my one and only Microsoft account originally created to allow my kids to play games has only one username attached to it - My daughter's. Sadly, my son's username is nowhere. I suspect then that this
means that all his progress, which was routinely saved within the Xbox One's internal system, has now been lost? However, I must admit that I am surprised that in all these years of gaming there should have been no upload to the Cloud following one of my son's
games.

Although I received written reassurance that my son's work would be saved from the faulty Xbox One's hard drive, I believe that I should have been advised about this eventuality. If it were possible, I would simply request our old machine back. His work
was far more important than the occasional viewing of a DVD.

Now, hopefully, there'll be some good news but I guess I'll just have to break it to him gently and face a meltdown.

Thanks it's only me and this boy on my account. My children are on their dad's account but it's not connected to mine. I've tried different browser and the app but still no luck.

If I completely delete my account will his parents then be free to add him? Thanks!
