Discus and support Bouncing between error messages ICMP, DNS and Internet in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have reset my modem, restarted my xbox, checked my connectivity on a variety of devices (Which are connected to the Internet).     Bouncing between error messages ICMP, DNS and Internet


    I have reset my modem, restarted my xbox, checked my connectivity on a variety of devices (Which are connected to the Internet). Yet still can't get on on my Xbox, no mirrors or pipes are in the way either.

    What was the message you got? Not error codes but the actuall message?

    Continuously repeatedly getting kicked off live

    ha im not the only one, recently moved residences and had internet hooked up, have a westell 7500 as well, opened ports for xbox live (88 and 3074) but still getting kicked of mw3 and netflix, however i recieve multiple error messages, any where from nat
    issues to dns errors to your console is connected to the internet but can connect to xbox live.and had an icmp error once as well, very frustrating

    Can't Connect Due to ICMP Errors

    Here's an update. Errors alternate between DNS errors and ICMP errors. For the DNS errors, I switched to automatic to see if those issues were resolved. Nothing happened. Then I switched back to manual and entered the DNS information from ipconfig. Nothing
    happened. Then I got the ICMP errors again. I disconnected two of my computers to see if Xbox LIVE would run better. I was able to play matchmaking for 15 minutes before I experienced severe connection lag followed by a disconnect.

    Disconnected from Xbox Live

    Hey again W3iRDiE! When you have an ICMP-error it means that your router is not responding to the Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) requests. ICMP is used to relay messages between your Xbox 360 console and the network, definitely a crucial thing!
    Since a wired connection seems to be out of the question, can I have you try restoring your router to the factory defaults? Also, can you run a speed test at speedtest.net and provide us with an image of the results?
