Bought Xbox Series X game at a store, says it has a code for xbox on, then try to redeem it...

I just bought a brand new Xbox One X, but when I go to the store, Flight Simulator and other Xbox Series X/S games say they are "not playable on this device" and I can't get Flight Simulator to install on my brand new Xbox One X because it says it's "not compatible". Very frustrating.

So you bought an Xbox One X and expected to be able to play an Xbox Series X game on it?

Why would a game made for an Xbox Series X work on an Xbox One X?

If you want to play Xbox Series X/S games I would take your brand new Xbox One X back to the store you bought it and see if they will take it back and you could try and buy an Xbox Series S (Series X consoles are very hard to find, but a Series S can be found fairly easilly)

I bought the xbox elite series 2 controller, and I must say I really like it but it came with 14 day ultimate code and I typed it in then my xbox says "This code has already been redeemed"

I bought it from the gift button in the Xbox store, my friend has tried redeeming the code everyone but it kept saying the code didn’t exist

This actually makes more sense because in the case is the CD for the game and the back page of Redeeming Code Pamphlet says "Bonus Content".

When I bought the game and console I literally asked the sales people if the fact that the game says "Series X" would be a problem since mine is a digital console (Series S) and they assured me I'd still be able to play because they're both Next Gen. It actually makes more sense that this code is just the bonus and this CD is supposed to be used in a Series X console. That's what I get for thinking the sales people in a tech store actually knew what they're talking about.

Does this mean you can only buy Series S (digital) games from the Microsoft Store on the console and not from a tech/game store?

I had the same issue. You cannot redeem this code through the website or the app. You must redeem it through the Xbox store on your Xbox Series X. Please be sure your code is being typed correctly. I took screenshots, so I know I typed the code correctly each time, but only the Xbox store on the console would allow me to redeem it.
