Bought XBox One X bundle - received a console only

I think it was open. Was able to get in touch with the support. However since I found the codes, I was able to add them to my account.

Can you tell from the packaging whether this XBOX was originally sealed before you opened it? If the paperwork wasnt in the box I am assuming this was opened prior and someone removed it from the package.

Thank you for all the responses. I did not see any paperwork, disc or redemption codes etc. I contacted Kohls and they asked to contact Microsoft since I will not be able to return to the store at this time.

The Live and Game Pass Trial subscriptions come on separate cards with printed codes on them inside the box. As for the free game(s), theirs a code on a printed card inside the box that you have to redeem on the console via your Xbox account, after creating
or signing into it.

Sometimes games are included in actual retail disc store brought display boxes with media inside with console deals. My Xbox had both, codes and discs inside the console box.

When you received the Console, did the box look like it had already been opened ? If not, have you fully checked everything in the box, paperwork, etc to make sure the redemption codes are not hiding somewhere in the documentation or in the box ? If no codes
in box, i would contact the company that you brought it (Console) from and request a replacement.

If this fails i would contact microsoft via the
Xbox Microsoft Support link and see what they can do.

There should be paperwork in there, the games are not preloaded, you have to redeem the code
