Bought XBox One S for 4k - 4k not working.

Hi, I just got my XBox One S this week and have not been able to get it to operate @ 4k with my 4k screen : Philips 40" BDM4065UC/75

I run my PC just fine via display port @ 4k @60 Hz onto my Philips 40" 4k monitor. I have a spare mini Display Port and a couple of HDMI ports which operate 4k @ 30 Hz.

When I run the 4k Setup on XBox One S - it says it will not connect to my screen @ 60 Hz so defaults back to 1080p.

Is there a way to get the XBox One S to operate 4k @30 Hz? Option in the menu? or will there be a XBox One S patch/workaround??

is there an adaptor MS can supply/advise to achieve 4k @ 60Hz from HDMI to DP or mini DP? NB: I've looked on the net, there is nothing that supports this direction (HDMI 2.0 >>> DP 1.2). There are other connectors which take DP to HDMI 4k@60Hz but they will
not work with XBox according to reports I've read online of people who've bought them and tried it. Comments from the manufacturers eg: Club3D confirm that it wont work from HDMI to DP per XBox One.

The only reason I bought a XBox One S was for the 4k features / drive to match my screen. I cant really see the point in keeping it if I cant get it sorted.

Visio 50 inch D1 not working

my 50 inch ultra 4K HDR Vizio 50 D1 is not working with my Xbox one S that I just bought it on package what's going on I can't play no games no movies and it will not turn to 4K resolution

 

My Bluray 4K works.... but in FULLHD instead of 4K

Hello, my name is Emilio, i bought a new xbox one S last week with a couple of Bluray 4K movies, i have a Samsung 4K TV, and when i connect the Xbox it's working at 4K but, when i played the movie 4K it works in FULLHD instead of 4K, when i finish the movie
and i use Xbox for games, or other thinks it works another time in 4k.

So.... why when i play bluray 4k the definition turns to FULLHD? do you know how to watch the bluray 4k movies in 4K instead of FullHD?

It's cheap though, it might be worth trying for the price.

 

I don't believe the XBOX One S supports 30Hz at 3840X2160. My 4k doesn't support 60Hz but does support 50Hz, 30Hz, and 24Hz and I can't get anything on the XBOX One to work in 4k, including setting the TV Resolution. YouTube will not offer the option to
play in 4k and Media Player provides a green screen when playing a 4k MP4. There is no 30Hz option that I see in the Advanced Video Settings.

 

Wiill an active DP adapter make the 4k mo it or work for sure? I tried with a normal one and no luck.

 

also want to know if this will work . i have the same monitor , and couldn't get the amazon fire 4k box to output in 4k .

 

wrong item , what he wants is a passive converter hdmi 2.0 to DP 1.2, and as it is only 1way device, the One you cite is wrong!
