Bought Xbox One in "that" two week period...

I couldn't get the money together before the holiday special ran out, and now two weeks later they are starting the promotion up again. So those of us that decided to support the system after the deal was gone is now getting sorta ***....

I usually don't feel so *** when price drops happen, but this one really chaps me. I spent an extra 50 and got the kinda lame game Unity, and to think I could have saved 50$ if I had decided to wait and see if they went back on what they said...

Venting I guess, they don't owe me anything, but man that would have been nice to either know about the deal coming back, or just not have given me two weeks to burn 50$. Sad panda.

Still, i am loving my xbox one, but a year of Xbox Live Gold with purchase would have made it that much more special

Anyone else pick the Xbox one during this period? Thoughts on if you feel a little *** or are cool with it? etc.

They bought it back? That's surprising. I thought they were gonna stop that January 2nd.

I bought a Sunset Overdrive console before the holiday price drop. was a few weeks went to Games Stop and they gave me the sale price maybe you can do that

 

They did bring it back, bad luck for anyone that did buy one in the last 2 week.

That's a link to the article that shows they are bringing it back... I checked Targets site claims they only accept a price change within 7 days of sale. Shame.

 

Does the new $349 console come with any games packed in? A quick look at the Microsoft Store looks like there's not.

OP, how much of a window is there to return the console, and re-purchase it, seeing as how the price-match window is closed? Then factor in how much of a hassle that would be, I 'spose - all that time, travel, gas & line-waiting worth fifty bux?

Timing was a bit meh on that purchase. Still, it's easily worth the bux you paid for it. Lots of great games for it

 

Yeah, that's kinda f....I would try n return it. Just pack it up, get ur money back, then buy it elsewhere. BTW, if u claimed(downloaded) any game that was bundled tell them u didn't. They won't check after less than 2 weeks. Most stores in the US give you
a 30 day return period. They may (have been instructed) to dissuade you, but their obligation on returns is usually bulletproof. Good luck..

When I saw the news of the official price drop yesterday, I instantly felt bad for the people tho bought it in the two weeks that the price went back up. Thankfully I was able to get it during the holiday price drop. It just makes mo sense to me that Microsoft
would raise the console back to $400, then two weeks later drop it to $350 again.

You may be able to return if you purchased from a place like Target or Walmart, GameStop will only let you exchange it if there's a problem with it.

 

where did you get it from. most major retailers will give you the difference if the price drops within 30 days. I know when my fiance got me the destiny PS4 for xmas, it was 450 but dropped to 400 a week later. we went into best buy with the receipt and
they refunded us the difference on the spot. best buy, target, and walmart do this. i think amazon does as well.

 

It's a gamble. I paid $499 for mine.... my bro bought one over Christmas for $350 (with Kinect and 2 games, referbed though).

 

Got it from Walmart they only allow price adjustments within 7 days, they would let me return it i'm sure as Walmart has a great return policy, but then i'd have to setup another Xbox. The 50$ though would a been nice, that's nearly a year of xbox live!

I noted Target earlier, not sure why I thought I got it at Target. Picked it up at like midnight and Target here is only open until 10.

EDIT: Just want to fix some of the confusion, the Xbox One bundles will also be included in the sale. Just have to find a store with the game bundles in stock. It's not just the default basic one unless you go through like Microsoft's
Store or go to a store without the bundles.
