Bought Xbox Live Gold, won't let me play online

Hi,

So, I had a balance due for a month of Xbox Live on an expired card, transferred the balance to a new card, bought a gold subscription too. It cleared as like $20 in my bank statement. Yet, 24 hours later, I still cannot play online. I am connected and can
watch Netflix, HBO and what not, but, no multiplayer online. Tried clearing cache, restarting Xbox, deleting my profile from the Xbox and downloading it again, even called Xbox Support and the dude did not really know what to do. Please help.

cant connect to xbox live

ive just bought xbox live gold membership online yet when i go to play online it wont let me and just says "xbox live free" even though ive just bought gold!! what is happening??

Your Gamer Tag shows you are a gold member. You can verify your subscription at commerce.microsoft.com. are you certain you are logging in with the correct information? Otherwise you will need to contact support again.

If you owed an amount but paid it off it can take up to 48 hours to clear the system. If you still are not allowed to play online by this afternoon then I would recommend contacting phone support and speak with billing to let them know the amount owing
was paid off.

So this isn't really to the console but I have no xbox live gold on my account, it ran out, so I bought a 12 Month Gold membership and all it says is I already have a gold membership which makes no sense because it won't let me play online and my gold did
run out.....I need help

That is exactly what I have been trying to do and it won't let me. It keeps telling me "You need an Xbox LIVE Gold Membership to play multiplayer games online. Would you like to become a Gold member today?"

Xbox live gold purchased sept 14. Age seems to be fine on settings but it won't let me do anything on ultimate team or play online.

Not sure what else to try...any ideas?

I think i figured it out, my xbox live subscription ran out between getting the game and letting it download and booting it up to play it. apparently my xbox games with gold won't let me play in between gold subscriptions. I wanted to do some single-players
while on gold hiatus for a few days, but that won't let me.
