Bought Xbox live gold after it had expired. Account shows it was purchased, but on xbox,...

I've tried it but I can't see the Gold Live in my account.
Could it be possible that because I bought the Gold Live via internet and not via Microsoft that it expire previously?

I bought my Xbox Live in july its august it was suposed to expire after december and I threw out my recet what do I do

Have you went to the account management?, And if you have used that email with paypal and bought something such as xbox live gold, you will have to wait till the membership expires, ive had the same probllem but had to wait till the membership expired.

Have same issue. I bought Gold Membership and after couple days, my X One shows that I need to buy it again. I saw in

Some Xbox games require XBOX LIVE GOLD to play. They will save "Xbox LIVE Gold required" on the box or the packaging or will show on the screen when you buy them.



However, there's no cancelling of LIVE accounts; instead, you can cancel your GOLD
subscription, or let it expire. You will always have an Xbox LIVE Free account tied to your Microsoft Account addresse once GOLD is cancelled or expires.

Login to the applicable Microsoft account and check the subscription status (eg. what type was bought, when it was bought/expires, etc):
