Bought XB1 games on my XB

Okay so my friend was at my house the other day, and i have a Xbox One, he logged on to his Xbox Live user and he bought Forza 5, then we started thinking: Will he be able to play Forza 5 when he gets a Xbox One? We bought it online so there is no CD. So
can you help us? Will he be able to play Forza 5 or do he have to buy it again on his own Xbox One?

I had it on his for a moment, but removed it after I got my XB1. And my XB is my home XB.

 

Controllers Frequently Disconnecting

Finally fixed my problem. Here are the steps I used for resolution, after owning an xbox from the first model and the XB Live beta:

1. Returned my console to Costco.

2. Sold all XB1 games and accessories on Craigslist.

3. Bought PS4 from Costco.

 

If he purchased the game while signed into his account, he should be able to access it from his console in his list of "Games and Apps" when he gets one.

 

To go into more detail from what Rustlebot said:

Every gamertag has an associated "home" console. This means if that gamertag has gold, everyone else on that console has gold. It also means that every person on that console can play all the games that that gamertag has bought.

If you are not on your home console, you can still play games on another console, but you will need to be logged in.
