bought starfield can I install it on both the pc and xbox

How? I bought it on xbox and linked my steam account with my xbox account but only see options to purchase the game a second time. How do I prove to steam that I already purchased the game?

Yes. Since it is Play Anywhere you can install it on both. You should be able to install it through your library in the Xbox app or Microsoft Store app

I understand your question and I'm here to help you solve it.

When you buy a game on XBOX or on the microsoft store, you can still play it by downloading it or by using the Cloud Gaming Feature if the game is supported.

I will now explain how to use it on Windows.

Press the windows key and search "Xbox" click on it and sign in with the correct account you bought Starfield on or else it will not show to download. once you are logged in click on "My Library" and download your game!

starfield is cross save so yes the saves are in the cloud and work on both xbox console and pc xbox app.
