Bought Resident Evil Game+Movie Deal - Deluxe Edition and am missing the movie code

Hi,

I bought the Resident Evil Game+Movie Deal - Deluxe Edition and am missing the movie code. I bought it through Xbox Live on May 12th. Also, since this is a Play Anywhere title, it should show
as owned for the PC version in the Windows store but it does not. Only the season pass shows as owned for PC. The game + DLC shows up fine through my Xbox One.

I bought Resident Evil Game+Movie Deal - Standard Edition but the movie code is missing. when I bought the bundle the game began to install instantly but I cant find the movie code, i have looked in the library and in the mail but it does not appear

 

Glad I'm not the only one. I've learned my lesson about buying game + movie bundles on Xbox Live. I've never had any issues before so it seems to me like the system is just not set up to handle these types of promotions.

Sounds like there is two different issues here, so I'll address each one separately.

For the movie code, can you please provide a screenshot with some more details on which promotion you're referring to? Which movie code were you supposed to see? For the game missing on the Windows Store, it's possible you need to update your copy of Windows
10. Is it fully up to date when you check for updates?

I was under the impression that as soon as I bought it, it would tie the movie to my account but it didn't. However, the person I spoke to that worked in support told me to make this post and ask for the movie code. It honestly seems like the system just
failed at tying it automatically to my account as opposed to having to wait for a code. In regards to the PC version not showing as owned under the Windows store, yes I do have the latest version installed. I've bought Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition and Gears
of War 4 and both show up as owned under the Windows store. The season pass shows up as owned, just not the game. I also just checked for updates for the apps and Windows itself and everything's up to date.

Whenever I click on the image that has the link for the promotion, it just comes back with an error message since the promotion is no longer active: Buy Resident Evil Game+Movie Deal - Deluxe Edition - Microsoft Store

 

I'm surprised you got the purchase history showing the movie deal. Mine used to show the movie deal on mine and now it just shows that I bought resident evil 7 deluxe edition only which is total BS.

 

Yeah, I just checked and it still shows it on my order page. Just make sure you keep the receipt that was emailed to you. I'm sure it'll get sorted out eventually but this promotion was handled very poorly. It should have automatically tied the movie to
our accounts so we could watch it as soon as we bought it, as opposed to having to wait for a code. As it is, I'm still waiting for mine...

On a more positive note, I ended up renting it from Redbox since I had a movie credit and I thought it was very good so you have that to look forward to.

 

In case any users that are having this same issue look at this post, I got my code earlier today so they are going out. However, I still don't show RE7 as owned in the Windows store for the PC store so I guess one issue down, one to go.
