bought red dead 2 for Christmas

bought red dead 2 and it will not install on xbox one, but the other games will? who do i return it to? Purchased from gamestop for a Christmas present Nov 11, . The Xbox is not recognizing the disk, telling my son to enter an "xbox one disk", but it
is one. Hoping we'er not out of $60 Thanks

Since it's a physical disc you would have to try returning it to Gamestop.

Try performing the hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

I have seen it work in the past.

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue trying to install the game.

If it is an Xbox One disk, I'd try the steps outlined here on our support page entitled

How to troubleshoot problems playing a disc on your Xbox One.

maybe you're running out of space on your hard drive try to delete some some games on make space and try to install it
