Bought Pre-Paid MS Card... Still requires billing address?

Hey guys. I recently bought a $50 MS card, and activated it on my Xbox One. I checked and made sure it went through, but now when I'm trying to buy or redeem ANYTHING... like an xbox video rental or fifa points, it still requires a billing address?

I intentionally buy pre-paid because I don't like having credit card information online, but why is it requiring this? If I just need an adrdess street line that is fine I guess, but is there any way to bypass this and use the money I already paid for?

Is my money not as green as everyone elses? Can't purchase Xbox Live Gold.

Generally, you cannot use pre-paid cards to purchase Live time as all subscriptions require recurring payments, and most pre-paid cards do not allow these recurring charges.

SOMETHING WENT WRONG

HELLO MY FRIEND GAVE A 800 MS PRE PAID CODE CARD THAT HE HAD FOR 2 YEARS IT'S NEW BECAUSE I PEELED THE COVER FROM THE BACK TO REDEEM THE CODE NOW EVERY TIME I DO IT ON XBOX.COM IT RECOGNIZES THE 800 MS CODE BUT WHEN I CLICK CONFIRM IT SAYS THAT SOMETHING
WENT WRONG AND WHEN I DO IT ON MY 360 IT SAYS CODE IS NOT VALID,I HAVE TRIED MICROSOFT CHAT AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I HAVE TO UPDATE MY BILLING INFO( I DON'T KNOW WHY WE NEED TO DO THIS TO REDEEM A PRE PAID CARD) SO I DID AND IM STILL GETTING THE SAME PROBLEM.I
NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE WITH PRE PAID CARDS AND ALSO I DONT WANT TO PURCHASE THE NEW GIFT CARDS BECAUSE IM AFRAID TO RUN AGAIN INTO THIS PROBLEM,SO I WAS WONDERING CAN MS PRE PAID CARDS EXPIRE???

You dont have to have a credit card on file but a billing address has to be on file. Just enter your address and you should be able to make a purchase

The reason that you can't add the card you're using is because you cannot use a pre-paid credit card. This is due to the fact that the billing address on the pre-paid card does not match your address. You'll have to use a regular card or PyaPal, or use the
prepaid credit card to purchase an Xbox currency card from a retailer. Sorry.

If you owe MS money there will be a billing suspension on your account and a pre paid card will not resolve the suspension. Your best bet is to contact phone support.

That error code means your billing information is not matching up with what's on file for the card. Make sure if the name on card has a middle initial, that you are putting that on there. Billing address must be the same as where the bills/bank statements
go to. If it is some sort of pre-paid Visa or MC, those typically don't work since obviously your information is not going to match what's on the pre-paid card. Try using a completely different card. I know the Wal-Mart money cards usualy work fine.

If you are using a pre-paid Visa/MasterCard, as it almost sounds like you might be, and are getting an error message, it is most likely due to billing contact information. Meaning the billing address on your account doesn't match the billing address on the
pre-paid credit card.

if you are using pre-paid currency cards for xbox, it should work for purchasing movies and such from xbox movies. if you are using an app to purchase movies you will need to take it up with the app itself as Microsoft currency can not be used for in app
purchases like that.

As for finding Microsoft ppc's, they should be available at any retailer that is authorized to sell xbox and xbox accessories. (heh, propane)
