Bought Minecraft Windows Edition but can't install / does not show in library

Tonight I decided to buy Windows edition Minecraft to play with my xbox friends on their realm. After I bought it using paypal, I didnt get any receipt, download link, or real instruction as to how to download. I assumed it was because my account wasn't migrated to microsoft. So I did that and created this account that has replaced my minecraft account. I have access to my old Java account but I cant download the windows version. For awhile when I would go to the minecraft page and select "get minecraft" and follow the buying options until the microsoft store pop up came up, and it said I already own this game and to install it from my library. So I signed into microsoft store and all that with this microsoft account and its no where to be found. Yet on the minecraft site, logged in with the same exact microsoft account, it says I already own the game. Since then, which was a few hours ago, it no longer says this and directs me to buy the game AGAIN. Like I never even bought it in the first place. Like I said there was no receipt either, only the one from PayPal. Any help would be appreciated. I suspect it is because when I created the microsoft account to migrate my mojang account, it said the email I selected already belonged to another account. But it also said, "Make account anyway" so I did. Anyway please let me know as at this point ive legitimately just been scammed in full lol. always, always a problem with Microsoft.
