    no access to xbox live after paying online for membership

    I just bought the gold membership today - first time buying it. when I try to play an online multiplayer game it tells me my account doesn't have permission to access xbox live. isn't that what i bought the membership for, or is it just a delay in processing
    the purchase and updating the server, or whatver xbox uses to track it's membership holders? tks.

    Keep Getting Disconnected From Live and Told to Buy Xbox Live Gold... I Have Gold!!

    I am having the same problem. I had to renew my xbox live, so I got a prepaid card and it clearly says here on the website that I am a xbox live gold member, but when I go to play on my xbox, it tells me I need to purchase a gold membership.

    Hi,

    been having this problem recently and need some help. seems likes it's pretty similar to me.

    My membership says that I have Xbox live gold but every time I try to play online or use a feature that requires Xbox live gold it says, I need to buy an Xbox live gold membership to access this feature.

    I have multiple emails notifying me of renewals and cancellations after I had tried to renew, not sure if it's some sorta glitch loop that's gonna add charges to me.

    Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem.
