Bought Gold but it does not show up on Xbox

I entered the code for a 12 month gold and got a "successful" message. I can go to xbox.com and it shows I have gold. It even shows if I go to settings- account-subscriptions but I can not download games for gold on the main page. It shows an advertisement
for gold. If I click on that it wants me to pay for gold. I've done a hard reset but no luck.

From what I know they are working on it gamertag by gamertag so it is taking them a while to get to your gamertag. I know it sucks waiting but you just might have to wait until they get to your gamertag.

Just done same thing my 9 yr old son is very unimpressed and so are we after wasting an hour an half on this.Come on microsoft get on with it and make an easy solution.We are not all system analysts you know just normal people handing over our money as usual!

i know it was because of the free xbl weekends they did n that's probably your problem as well seeing how they are doing that this weekend I never got a reason of why this had happened but xbox did figure it out.. I just kept calling them daily they had
to escalate it to higher ppl it took almost a whole month for them to fix the problem but in the end I did get like a free 5 months of xbl from them. so I don't really know the solution other than doing that or making a whole new account but good luck with
