    Bought and added a second controller, now neither the original or the new controller will stay ...


    It's a pretty silly irritant, but I'm used to picking up my controller, pressing the 'on' button and having the console boot up.

    After syncing a new controller, I now have to manually turn on the console, and then "resync" a controller to use it.

    How can I fix this?

    Controllers...

    Each controller is uniquely coded with an ID... The controller, that comes with your console, will be recognised instantly, as the console already knows that unique ID of controller from factory...

    When you buy any Official Secondary Controller from a store, that Controllers Unique ID, has to saved or synced on the console, so the console can recognise it & knows next time, that the second controller is now paired or used with the console & will sync
    straight away, on another quadrant etc...

    You need to have the Original controller (From Console), turned off & then try & sync the new second controller...

    Then, Reset console & confirm..

    It may take a few goes, to try & sync the new controller too...

    Controller won't stay synced to console for more then 10 seconds

    I just picked up my Console and got home, got it all set up. And right from the beginning my controller wont stay synced more then 10 seconds. The light stays on but the controller will not navigate anything. I press the sync button again and it re-syncs,
    once again won't stay synced past 10 seconds. If it's something wrong with the controller Gamestop said they would trade me but It wouldn't be the Day One Edition controller. I really hope I can get this fixed as I want to keep this controller. Any help would
    be greatly appreciated.

    Have you updated both controllers from the settings menu? Connect the controller (one at a time) via a USB cable to the side USB port on the console then head to Settings>Devices and update them. After that sync them up and restart the console. Hopefully
    that will solve the issue.

    Do they still make "Skin-it" skins for the new consoles/controllers. I would've waited for one of the new COD controllers but I just bought a second one and recently a new camo for the 360 so I'm done with controllers for now.

    Chances are you may of bought a faulty used controller too tbh. You probably should of just bit the bullet and bought a new controller with a warranty, then sent your original controller in to be replaced.

    Day one controller and another controller bought in the first week of console release....neither have any problems. Sorry for your problem, and good luck. I suggest that buying a new controller will be cheaper than a whole console system.
