Bought a referbished xbox 360 contoller and it won't register wih this code on it

I don't know, that may be my main problem. I am new to this Xbox stuff and just can't get it going. I filled out the register form properly and submitted it told me the serial # is invalid and gave me a code which doesn't work here. (P6ce3AIlmFkcnONZ.6)
Do I need to register to start playing the games?

Noise when shutting down

I know the xbox one makes a cool sound when you turn in on but is it supposed to make any sound when turning off. Mine does, not sure if I should be worried because I just bought it referbished.

Contoller won't turn on

so I can turn on my xbox but when I hold down the guide button on my contoller it won't turn on full battery and when I plug it in it still wnot turn on

Is the account wih the digital version set as home Xbox or bought on his account?

We were not able to get the contoller to move from continue to the offline sytem update option.

The contoller isn't on until the xbox is on and then it won't allow us to move across the screen.

Where in the above link can i select my contoller to be repaired? In My “device” to be registered i can select my xbox but not the controller?

If you bought the game digitally, you won't receive a code. You'll automatically be registered for the beta. If you bought a physical copy, you would need to contact the retailer you purchased the game from.

If it's a 360, I think you will have to reach out to support for an unlock code, since it's 2nd hand, and you won't have the device registered to your profile.
