Bought a new monitor but no sound from speakers

are you sure that is the version with speakers, it will have audio controls usually for audio passthrough to the headphone jack on the back

Hello DaBlueHairedGuy, have you tried to check in the instruction manual if there is any kind of special configuration to be done on the monitor?

Monitors like this tend to be like TVs, just connect the HDMI cable that comes from the Xbox to your monitor and the sound will come out of the monitor.

This problem is with the sound from the X Box One to the monitor speakers (HDMI), replaced monitor and same problem.. Tried external speakers plugged into the monitor and no difference.

I bought an eARC HDMI, hopefully it’ll work and I’ll be able to hear the audio through my speakers. Right now I have the speakers plugged into my monitor with a audio jack and HDMI connecting my Xbox and monitor and no sound is playing.

Yes that is correct it is the monitor, monitor or pc monitors have no speakers to reproduce the sound that comes from the console via HDMI. Before buying a monitor you should confirn first if the monitor have internal speakers which is unlikely.
