Bought a gift for a friend (digital game)

My friend cannot redeem the code he received and it says were in different region although he's my roommate and our Xbox are on the same region. How can we fix it? There's no way to co intact customer service

You should just request a refund , you cannot gift games to other regions

Both of you double check your account information at http://account.microsoft.com If his region does not match yours, then he would need to migrate his account.

If both match, you'll want to contact support for assistance. http://support.xbox.com/contact-us Or request
a refund and either try again or buy it a different way.

Also gifting digital games is a MUST needed option...if i want to buy 4 digital copies and give them out to 4 friends then I should be able to..or if I hate a digital game and there ISNT a needed trade in/resell button then its MY right to be able to gift
that same game(code and all) to a friend...why can we not have that option? Please tell me why I cant gift something I bought...love to read you defend corporate anti-consumerism more.
