Bought a game from Xbox Live Marketplace, and...

3/7/2015 I bought a game from the Xbox Live Marketplace, Midnight Club LA, also I'm getting the date from when I bought it from my purchase history. bought it, it downloaded, and I went to my games and it wasn't there. i was confused. I went and searched
a bunch of stuff but alas, nothing helped.

Bought it when it was on sale for $4.03, wasn't there when it was done downloading. Don't know if this matters but it says "Completed" next to it, guessing it was purchased successfully? But today I decided to go and make sure I wasn't crazy and that the
game was there in my games library, and was wasn't--still. :/ Went to the market place to redownload it but guess what? It claimed I'd never bought it before and it's price was $14.99.

TL;DR:

So i buy the game, doesn't work when it finishes downloading, go back to the store and it says I've never bought it before. Any help?

when games are bought via the game marketplace they run directly from the hard drive, and no dvd (disk) is needed to play the game.

The game bought via the marketplace is a download and when the file is downloaded from the marketplace it resides on the hard drive and that is all you need to be able to play the game

So in short: You should be able to play a game that is bought via the xbox live games section of the console

 

Sorry to hear it. Please double check the purchase at commerce.microsoft.com. If it is not listed there then perhaps it was accidentally purchased on a different account.

After checking every possible lead you should then contact phone support as only they can deal with billing issues. If you live in North America dial 1-800-469-9269

 

Also make sure you try redownloading it from your download history instead of the marketplace.

 

Oh, didn't know I could redownload it from my download history! It probably won't help, though, as after I bought it for the first time and it didn't show up, I reinstalled it 2 times. But I'll still try it.

Don't know how it would've been purchased on a different account, as I only have 1 account with Xbox Live, but I guess it's possible. After checking the link you gave me, it showed that I had purchased it, along with other purchased games. I might try phoning
them for help, not sure yet.

 

Okay, after reinstalling it seemed to have of appeared. Must of been a corrupted download when I bought it. Seems to play fine!
