    Bought a game digitally on 360, Xbox One wants me to buy it again!


    I bought Limbo on my 360, and I know it's in my account. Other games I've bought digitally are able to be re-downloaded onto my Xbox One no problem. For some reason, it wants me to buy Limbo again, which is ridiculous. How do I fix it?

    Cant download CoD Ghosts, I demand refund

    I bought CoD Ghosts digitally on xbox 360 and when I want to download it on xbox one it shows me I need to pay 59.99$ again.

    Can you please resolve this issue so I can play my game or refund my money so I can buy it again for xbox one.

    Bought a game on Xbox 360, do I have to buy same exact game on xbox one?

    I bought Lego Marvel Superheroes for xbox 360 digitally. Then I got Xbox One, it says I have to buy it again on Xbox One. Do I seriously have to purchase it again?

    It depends on the game... some are backwards compatible, which allow you to play the 360 version on your Xbox One. Others offer free or discounted upgrades to the Xbox One version. Still others have no such offer, and you'll have to buy the game again.
    It varies game-to-game, and is up to the developers.

    Since Limbo is not backwards compatible, you would have to purchase the One version if you want to play it on the One.

    If you changed systems like 360 to xbox one and it is not backwards compatible, you would have to buy it again. If you bought a digital and did not change systems it should be where you could download it again and not have to pay for it again.
    I'm a bit confused by this answer. If OP purchased the game digitally on 360 and is using the same gamertag/Microsoft account, it doesn't matter which platform he purchased it on. You can play digital 360 games purchased on the Xbox One on your 360 or your
    Xbox One, the license travels with you across generations, and will continue to into the next generation.

    I'm having the same problem! I even delete everything and try redownloading and it gives me the error code! I had the problem last month got it working and then it did it again am stuck trying to get my profile downloaded again. I wanted to play my 360 games because they are on disc. And my Xbox one is all digital so I don't think I can play my 360 games on my Xbox one! And I don't have the money to buy/ replace my 360 games on my Xbox one digital!
