Bought a digital game, only to have it go on sale the next day.

[/quote]Digital Distribution as the only source or buying games will not a be a reality until next century. It will only ever be an alternative. Going to this method as the only option in the next 10-15 years will cut their consumer base in half or more
even. As for itunes. I have never bought a thing off itunes. Probably never will.

you have to take into account.... and I know it was said above... those are only retail discs bought inside the USA... those number DO NOT count the digital sales from XB1.. the digital sales for PC, the Bumndles.... And only 1 week of XB360...

I'd rather just buy a sixty-dollar game than a forty-dollar digital. Or just wait for the physical copy to go on sale. Most of the digital games I have bought digital have been ten dollars or less--save for some arcade titles.

I am sorry but year old games going on sale for one day is not how digital will take off. I love how most stores have sales on their new games after a few weeks for $35 and MS will put a game on XBL 6 months later for full price. For digital to fully take
off they will have to have the games day one for $10 to $15 less than physical copies.
