Bought a Banned Xbox

I bought a banned Xbox One on the app offer up. I took the sellers word that the Xbox was not banned and in working condition. When i got home and the device updated i realized i could not connect to Xbox live and there was a message on the side saying the
Xbox was banned. I have been trying to contact the seller and have decided to contact the authorities. I would like to know when my device was banned so i can show i bought it in that condition.

Also, the device has no accounts on it and does not allow me to play a game i purchased for the Xbox. Is there anyway i can play the game offline?

If I could know other Gamertages, Emails, or Names associated with this Xbox that would help also.

I understand that buying a second hand console comes with risks, but i took the sellers word thinking he was truthful. I have learned my lesson.

Please let me know if there is anything else you can do to help with this situation.

Permanent bans are not reversed. You would have to try taking it back to where it was purchased for a refund/exchange.

 

Sorry, but there would be no way for you to get that information. There is no way to contact the enforcement team regarding console bans.

The only way you would be able to play offline is if you were using an account that was already set up on the console. Since the console cannot connect to Live, you would not be able to load your own account.

As Smwutches stated, there wouldn't be a way to contact the Enforcement team and the Chat or Phones teams wouldn't be able to offer that information either. Your best bet is to work with the folks in charge of the app to see if they have a refund policy
in this case or how they would suggest to proceed.
