    Bought a banned console unknowingly


    i bought a console from someone through an app called letgo, brought it home and went to start setting it up but it says the console was banned. I tried to get back with the person who sold it to me and they have blocked me. Being that i have no way to
    get in contact with the seller to get my monwy back, is there any way to have the ban on the console lifted so that i do not lose my money and i can play games online?

    If you have email chats from the person report him to the police for fraud. I would also recommend contacting the admins of the app to let them know about the fraud as well.

    If you paid by credit card, debit or paypal then you should be able to dispute the charge as the person sold you an item that was not as advertised. If you paid by cash and in person then you'll have a name and description to report to the police as well.

    If buying second hand electrical goods, it is advisable to ask to see it working.

    Hi, sadly that is one of the risks of buying used consoles. There is no way to get the ban lifted, your only recourse is the seller or if letgo has some sort of policy regarding this contact them.
