Bough a cd key from a 3rd party provider.

The key had all ready been used. I am going though the process of getting a new key however the provider has requested evidence from Microsoft as to when the key was activated.

Is this something Microsoft would even be willing to do ?

Hi Guys

I have got this resolved.

It occurred to me (after making this post) that it would be worth reaching out to the customer support on the game's website (sea of thieves) as they would have direct access to the necessary logs to check when keys were activated.

They responded with a date of when the key was activated ( day prior to my purchase) so my issue has been resolved, in regards to ascertaining the date of activation.

It wouldn't show up in the user's order history given it had already been redeemed before they even recieved the code!

Why would they respond to a 3Rd party question

You have to talk to your retailer

Xbox digital purchases only go to your console not as a code

If you bought it from.a 3Rd party like Cd keys you need to talk to thsm
