Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your controllers. I understand that you want to login to your Xbox. Have you tried connecting your controller via USB directly to your console?

In order to enable remote play, you need to enable remote features from the settings of your console.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Go to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features.

Select the Enable remote features checkbox.

In Xbox App Preferences, you need to select "Allow connections from any device" if you want to remove any authentication.

If these settings are already configured properly, here are the steps on how you could proceed with the remote play.

On a mobile device:

Open the Xbox mobile app.

Select the My Library icon and select Consoles.

Select the console you want to connect to and then press Remote play on this device.

On a Windows device:

Open the Xbox app for PC.

Click on your profile picture and select View profile.

Under Where I play, select the Add a console option and follow the steps shown.

I have noticed the same thing happing to my two remotes the Xbox 360 controller is way more stronger and durable than the Xbox one remote I have two controllers and both are broken within one year I'm have tempted to get a PlayStation and sell my xbox because
I'm already having problems with it and mines not even a year old

Please make sure that the app and your console are both connected to the same network then make sure your remote features are enabled. Have you tried installing the game remotely? Go to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features. Check the box to enable remote features and for Power options, select Sleep mode.

I'm assuming by remote you mean controller? Are they both the same type of controller? Ie. both X360 controllers? Is one a newer one? Have you tried connecting both via USB to see if that works?
