Both household Xbox Ones can’t connect to network, but all other devices can.

Last night, both of our household Xbox One S’s just stopped connecting to our wireless network. I tried unplugging the modem and router and the Xbox One. None of that seemed to change anything.

I also went to our router webpage and got all the numbers for the IP adress, Subnet mask, Gateway, and DNS stuff and put it in manually in the Xbox’s advanced network settings. That didn’t help either, but I did notice that, although I manually put in numbers
for the IP address and subnet mask, when I go back to advanced network settings, it shows that those two items are just 0.0.0.0. Does that mean anything?

I know very little about connectivity issues or how modems and routers work.

Tried to have Xbox support call me, and when they did, for some reason they couldn’t hear me and ended the call.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear it. If your consoles are still not connecting to the internet then please first try powercycling them by holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds till it shuts down. Then unplug and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Try connecting again when you turn it on. If it still does not then try a factory reset on the console. There's an option to keep installed games and apps so you won't need to redownload them and your saves will be safe on the Cloud.

So with wired network, you can get online - But all other devices in your household struggle to connect online?

As long as both devices, the xbox One and the device using smartglass, are in the same section of the network, they should be able to connect. No matter if the One is connected by cable and the smartglass device is connected wireless, as it is not a direct
(wireless) connection between both devices, but a connection over the network.

As many others have already suggested - game streaming is your best bet via the Xbox App. You can then connect your Xbox controller to your computer using bluetooth (if your controller supports it), USB to your computer, or if you’re close
enough to your Xbox, it’s existing wireless connection to the console itself.

The most important consideration in all of this though, is your network quality. For the best experience you’ll want both your laptop and Xbox One connected to your router via ethernet. If you can’t have both connected with ethernet, then at least one of
the two should use ethernet and the other 5Ghz Wi-Fi.

Not to mention that soon you’ll be able to use game streaming from your console to not only Windows 10 devices, but iOS and Android devices too. Hope this helps, cheers!

Can you check if your network profiles are correct (or the same) on your windows 10 device ?

Network profiles can be different between multiple network devices.

Wifi is maybe set on private network while the cabled network is set on public (just an example)

Yep, both have the same profiles. Both are connected by cable network on the same profiles.

Update: the same error occurred when I try to connect my iPhone to Xbox with the app. If the xbox one is under wifi network all works, but if the xbox one is under cable network iPhone don't see the xbox one connected.
