    Got a message from a random saying "I got ure name from the profile search here on this xbox app cuz I was bored and lookin for new people to talk to" "How old are you?"

    I remember seeing this on a few facebook groups I'm in and knew it was a scam.

    I looked it up and they try to get as much info on you as they can to access your accounts and email.

    I seen this account has 497 friends so that's a lot of people getting scammed. I called xbox and she'll do what she can on her end but she said the Enforcement Team will investigate if I come to this Forum.

    I also know we can't name gamertags here so how do I tell you what account to investigate?

    Hey Kosmo The Gizmo,

    Yes they are currently some of the Bots going on and they should be aware of that.

    The best thing you can do is to report the messages you get and block the accounts so they cant message you again.

    Yeah 500 friends, Zero game score, system generated name on an account created 3 days ago. Report and then block. Don't engage after blocking as it will unblock the account

    Microsoft seriously needs to bring down the hammer on these false accounts, It's ruining the integrity of the Xbox platform. Reporting is only going to do so much so they need to crack down on these bots and try and find the source and shut it down or at
    least make it more difficult/ impossible for Silver accounts to send messages to random people (Only to friends and yea it might not work but it's a suggestion)

    Just got a random message from a bot-account named UnloosedAutra168. reported the account and blocking it. so sad that these pests are getting onto the Xbox platform. I thought these kind of bots only resided in public and online chatrooms. please Xbox and
    Microsoft. crack down on these fake's!

    Thank you very much for coming to the Xbox Forums in regards to this. As stated above by our Xbox Ambassador, the best thing that you can do is report and block them in order to be able to send that information to our
    Xbox Enforcement Team. Every report you do provides info for our team members so that they can further analyze this matter and prevent this in the future.
